I spent two years in the city of Bahia Blanca, Argentina where I fell in love with the Argentine empanadas. While I do find empanadas in New Jersey they are not the same as Argentine made. These Nuchas empanadas are a home run!! I ordered them on-line and they come frozen fully cooked and fresh. The first time, I place them in a toaster oven and found the shell much too toasty. The second and thereafter I warmed them up in the microwave and they were excellent. Each empanada is a meal in itself with a salad. The taste and texture were as if I had purchased them at a corner cafe-bar in Bahia Blanca. Pour a little chimichurri or salsa verde to your liking and it was exquisite. The blend of red peppers, scallions, potatoes, green olives, and ground beef is cooked with Argentine love which makes for an outstanding meal. Kudos to the Nuchas team.

The Argentine beef flavor was good, but needed more seasoning. I especially liked that there were potatoes in there too.
I would order them again but they need some added spices or hot sauces to make it tastes better.

As a Chilean born empanadas are very special to me. I have tried empanadas from other parts, all good, but nothing like a good empanada de pino. The two boxes I received, promptly and well packed, disappeared a lot faster that I anticipated; couldn't stop eating them.
